Miles joined St. Mary's Medical Centre, Stamford as partner in 2008, having worked as an Out of Hours GP on Guernsey for 2 years,  and a partner in Ilkeston Derbyshire for 12 years, helping to set up the local OOH Co-operative and running a 92 bed Community hospital with a 24 hour Minor Injuries Unit. He trained at Kings College Hospital in London, did my GPVTS in north west London and then spent a year as a rural GP in Newfoundland, Canada.

Miles became Chair of NHS South Lincolnshire CCG in 2012 and then spent a year as Clinical Director for Emergency and Medicine at Peterborough City Hospital in 2015. The practice joined Lakeside in July 2016.
