Barbara completes Race for Life in memory of loved ones

Well done to Barbara Zub who raised nearly £500 for Cancer Research by completing  the Race for Life 5k run. Barbara wanted to support the initiative on its 30th anniversary, despite 'hating running with all her heart!' in memory of her mother and her aunt, who both passed away from the disease.

Barbara, who is a Pharmacy Technician with the South Peterborough Primary Care Network completed the race with her stepdaughters, Olivia and Bethany, aged 9 and 11.

Barbara said: 'I ran the race for the first time six years ago and I struggle to find the motivation, however, after losing my mum in 2021 and my aunt a few weeks ago, I wanted to fundraise in tribute to them. Thanks to all my friends and colleagues who supported me with encouragement and donations and a shout out to former colleague Kerry, who was there to cheer us all over the finish line which was much appreciated.'
