Jo and Lucy, our team of social prescribers at Stamford and Bourne, recently attended a community event to promote their services to patients and meet other health and wellbeing organisations.

The 'Connected Communities' event arranged by the Stamford Health Education and Awareness charity, took place at Stamford Arts Centre. It was open to the public and was an opportunity for people to see the range of help and advice that is available including on healthy eating, activities and advice for those struggling with the cost of living.

Lucy said: 'It was really useful as it gave people the opportunity to find out a bit more about us and the services we can offer around loneliness, bereavement and mental health. The whole day was about supporting people and helping them to make connections within the community. It enabled us to meet up with partner organisations so that we can really make a difference. We, along with the health and wellbeing team, are really busy and so it is great to talk about the holistic help that we can offer Lakeside patients in Stamford and Bourne.'
