Dr Cole clears the way for quacking good fun

Dr Clive Cole from Lakeside Healthcare at Bourne has cleared the stream at the town's Cedars Care Home in preparation for the duck racing at their annual summer fete.

The event will raise much-needed funds for Dementia UK, a charity close to his heart as he works closely with 12 care homes in Bourne and Stamford in his role as Acting Clinical Director for the Four Counties Primary Care Network.

Dr Cole said: 'Our staff spend a great deal of time liaising with care homes across the PCN and I just wanted to show a bit of extra support by clearing the stream at the Cedars, ready for the duck racing along with Dave Fawcett, Terry Dewy and accompanied by my dog Odie, who will take part in the dog competition on the day!'

Dr Cole will be helping out on the day and the practice staff are all getting behind the fundraising, both with the duck race and by taking part in a raffle organised by Assistant Practice Manager Denika Wilmot.

The Cedars Care Home summer fete, including duck racing, stalls, and royal memorabilia takes place on Sunday 5 June from 11am to 4pm at Church Walk, South Street in Bourne.
