Festive hampers donated to Pen Green Centre in Corby

Staff at Lakeside Corby were delighted to hand over some festive hampers to help local families this Christmas.

It is the second year running that staff and medical students at the Corby hub have collected hundreds of items for the Pen Green Centre for Children and their Families.

The safeguarding team co-ordinated the collection and gift-wrapped the hampers, presenting them to Elaine Young, the Young Adult/Infant Mental Health worker at Pen Green.

The Christmas hampers

Alison Fairbairn, Head of Safeguarding for Lakeside Healthcare, said:

'With the cost of living crisis affecting many families this winter we all thought it was more vital than ever that we support people who may be struggling in the local community. We know that other practices across Lakeside have also got involved in similar projects and we hope that this spreads a little festive cheer this Christmas to those who receive a hamper.'
