Dee Chick-Holland enjoys her role as rota co-ordinator at Lakeside Stamford. She arranges the schedules for all the clinical staff including GPs, registrars, medical students, nurses and healthcare assistants.

Dee, who first started at Stamford as a receptionist five years ago, needs an eye for detail in order to schedule her colleagues' working patterns and room allocations alongside their training, meetings and holidays. She works a week or two in advance to ensure a consistency of service.

She said: 'It it is one of those jobs where you need peace and quiet because there are such a lot of details to consider and a great deal of cross referencing. We offer a huge amount of appointments including online and face to face consultations and pre-bookable appointments. The role can be challenging at times but I love it and the team here is great.
