October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to show support for everyone affected by breast cancer and to raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
As part of this, Dr Laura Brennan, from Lakeside Healthcare has recorded a new GP Talks video talking about breast screening invites and how to check your breasts at home.
Breast screening can help detect cancer early, often before symptoms appear, when treatment is more likely to be successful. Regular self-checks at home are also an important way to spot any unusual changes.
Watch our new video to learn more about breast screening and breast self-checks.
Early detection saves lives. Please don’t ignore your breast screening invitation.
