Research Event in Cambridge
A contingent from Lakeside went to a research event in Cambridge on how research supports the NHS 10 Year Plan.
Chief Executive, Jessica Bawden, Dr Panagiotis Mountis from St Neots and Dr Sophie Reiter, a new Research Partner at Lakeside’s Research team all attended the event, hosted by NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Research Office.
There were talks by notable NHS Research leaders from the region, followed by a panel discussion on how local health and care leaders can make the most of research for the HHS 10 year plan, chaired by Lord James O’Shaughnessy, Chair of Cambridge University Health Partners.
Jessica Bawden said: ‘This was a great opportunity for us to listen and contribute to ideas around research, which is particularly exciting given that our research team has recently expanded and we are planning further outreach and projects in the future. We are also currently recruiting for a new Head of Research Business
Development to help us drive our aims and ambitions with regards to research, which benefits our patients and the wider NHS.’
