Dr. Murphy, GP Partner at Lakeside St Neots, said, "I'm delighted to see a significant number of our local community, especially those most vulnerable to the flu, choosing to stay healthy and get vaccinated.
"As winter approaches and with the heightened risk of flu and other respiratory viruses, it's crucial for eligible patients to consider vaccination. It provides the most effective defence against the flu and can significantly reduce the severity of symptoms if you happen to contract it."
Eligible patients for the flu vaccine include those aged over 65 and anyone aged 18 to 64 with a chronic illness or immunocompromised condition.
The next flu clinic is on Saturday 14 October 2023 at Eaton Socon Health Centre between 8am and 1pm for those aged over 65 and anyone aged 18 to 64 with a chronic illness or immunocompromised condition.
Eligible patients who have not received an invitation can call the surgery on 01480 406 677 or visit the surgery to speak to a receptionist and arrange their appointment.
