NQS and Stanground staff donate to Defibrillators For All
Thanks to the New Queen Street and Stanground Team for the support for fundraising activities over Christmas which meant that nearly £190 was donated to the Defibrillators For All charity.
The money was raised through the Christmas Hamper raffle and Christmas Quiz.
Reception Team Leader Mel Chamberlain, is pictured handing the money over to Deborah Slator, the charity's founder.
Defibrillators For All is a Whittlesey based charity, aiming to:
- Save lives by providing public access defibrillators (PADs)
- Promote local public awareness of saving lives with a PAD
- Screen our young people between the ages of 14 and 35
They said: 'Our desire is to prevent anyone in Whittlesey from dying due to the lack of a PAD being present. The equipment is housed in a unit and can be used by anyone, anytime, and you do not need to be trained to use it. However, we realise that individuals may want to attend a CPR training session or an awareness session and we can arrange this free of charge.'
Mel said: 'We were all delighted to support such a worthwhile and life-saving local cause, so thanks to everyone at the practices who contributed.'
